How Sweet it is to be a Husky!
Happy Fall, Briarwood Families!
As the temperatures begin to fall, school activities begin to increase in a major way! Clubs and activities are beginning or have already started. Be sure to check your emails, teacher communications and Husky Happenings for information about clubs and activities. Briarwood is excited to offer over 14 clubs and activities to our students.
Academically, as the first nine weeks come to a close this month, achievement will be the main topic of our communications with families and teachers. You will be receiving progress reports (K-3) and grade cards (4-6) later this month. The results of last year’s Kentucky Summative Assessment will be coming home to our 4th-6th grade students and we have celebrated our success! Briarwood's overall rating was GREEN and our overall score increased 13.1 points to 73.4 points! We are so proud of our students and teachers.
Our PTO continues to provide resources and opportunities for our families to connect with Briarwood. Please mark your calendars for an annual Briarwood tradition - Fall Festival! Fall Festival will be held Friday, October 18th, from 5:30-8:00. We have added more games, activities, and events for our Huskies. You won’t want to miss it!
Thank you for your continued support and trust in our school. As always, you can keep up to date with all of Briarwood's calendar of events and grade level newsletters on Husky Happenings!
Go Huskies!
